David Crosby + Venice Private Show 12/9/11

Last Friday night 12/9/11 my wife and I had the honor of watching David Crosby and the band Venice play a private show in a neighbors living room. This was a fund raiser for one of the band members child's elementary school. 70 people watched Venice accompanied by David Crosby harmonize on Crosby Stills Nash and Young classics such as Suite Judy Blue Eyes, Carry On. Woodstock & Long time coming. Before the show I had the opportunity to talk with Crosby and explained to him that in 1989 my girlfriend gave me a puppy Golder Retriever as a college graduation gift. I had a hard time naming him but after much thought I asked my friend Chris for a suggestion- he looked me straight in the eyes and said "If he was my dog there would be no doubt, his name would be Crosby" well it stuck. David said to me after I told him that story "your friend has some serious problems" I replied, "All my friends do and come to think of it so do yours!" we had a chuckle and he excused himself to warm up. This show was incredible.... to sum it up I will quote my friend that we invited with his wife to be our guests. He said "Not many times a has concert brought me to tears, this was one of those occasions. Truly a treasured memory"
