This temple is hidden gem between Baner and Pashan. The old Shiva temple gets busier on the day of Shivratri.
Someshwarwadi temple is a pretty old temple located near Baner and has been very well maintained. The park nearby is also worth visiting. It is jist beside of sanskruti gram udyan. Very peaceful and holy place. When I visited I saw student come here for study as no disturbance I can say we can feel relaxed with energy of lord shiva. There also replica of all jyotirlinga temple but work still in slow progress but impressive. Jai mahakal.
Someshwar Mahadev temple built in Hemadpanti style in black stone , nearly 900 years old, is situated on the banks of Ram Nadi river. Near the river is a Chakra Teerth, a square which has a natural spring which flows throughout the year. Towards the south, near the banks, is a well-known temple of Padmavati, goddess of fulfilment.This temple is spread over 3.5 acres of land and has three entrances; the main is from Someshwar wadi, other opens towards Ram Nadi, and one is on the west side of the temple. One can see the Swayambhu Shiva Linga from the inner sanctum. The sanctum has beautiful carvings on the top dome. This temple has a 40 feet tall Deepmala, and surrounded by temples of Ganesh, Hanuman and Bhairavnath. To the north of the temple is a Havan Kund.
To enter the inner sanctum and to offer abhishek, one has to be dressed in traditional clothes. Men have to wear salwar kurta or dhoti while women have to wear sarees. This temple also has a museum which states the history of the temple. It has old letters in Modi script as well as old photographs. On every Monday during Shravan, Sabudana Khichidi is offered as maha prasad to every visitor through out the day.

There is a folklore that states that a cow was sprinkling milk over a snake hole (varul) which was noticed by a cowherd, who dreamt about Lord Shankar, and later dug up the snake hole, to find a Shiva Linga.
