Up for auction is a very nice 71 Buick Skylark Custom Convertible. This rare classic comes with a fair amount of original paperwork including the owner’s manual with Protect-O-Plate. I have a clean and clear Georgia title in hand. Buick only produced 3,993 convertibles in 1971 and there are obviously a lot less than that remaining: making this a rare classic.

The car was painted in 2017 in the original factory color code 75 Fire Red. The paint and body are good not perfect. Most casual lookers would call it a 9 or 10, however I would give it a 7 as I am critical with paint and body. The paint is slick and nice however there are a few flaws and as I stated above, not perfect. The chrome and brightwork is about the same condition, good not perfect. The white power top is good however it has had a small tear repaired on the passenger side. I believe that all the glass in the car is original and in good condition including the windshield with radio antenna in the glass. The tires are Cooper Cobra Radial GT’s (P245/60R15’s), and there are 5 including the one in the truck. The trunk by the way has the original jack and tools.

The engine is the factory born original numbers matching 350 V8 2brrl with the matching automatic transmission. The car has been fresh serviced with oil and filter and full inspection. It has new master cylinder, brake booster, new wheel cylinders, brake shoes, rotors turned, and new brake lines. Other notable work are new ball joints, and the front end has been rebuilt. The car rides and drives awesome with a complete front and rear Eibach suspension system. It has a full custom mandrel bent dual exhaust system with the long FlowMaster mufflers (sounds as good as it runs) …

The interior is in great condition. It has new carpet and ACC mats. The dash pad is basically prefect. The seats are in good condition with all the factory seat belts. The dash and gauges were replaced with new GS Style including tachometer also in 2017. The 10,430 miles on the speedometer reflect the mileage on the car since that time. The title states miles exempt… The stereo is Bluetooth with hands-free phone use. Everything works including cigar lighter and key in ignition buzzer.
