Gabapentin 3 Major Health Consequences of Use | Weight Gain, Muscles, Brain

ERROR: Gabapentin is a GABA analogue but it does not act on GABA receptors - it acts on voltage-gated calcium channels to reduce neuronal functioning - I’m so sorry for the confusion.

Gabapentin (also known as Neurontin) is a GABA analog medication used to treat neurological conditions including partial seizures, post-herpetic neuralgia and diabetic neuropathy. However, Gabapentin can lead to mild side effects including ataxia and gastrointestinal effects, but also can increase the risk of major health consequences, which we discuss in this lesson.
