The dinghy project is driven by an ambition to explore how human and countries creates links and network around the world. Water and sailing are two important sources to bind people. Artstamps also binds people together through communication, sharing and passion. The new OK-dinghy is a combination of the two symbols of networking: Water and art. The OK-dinghy is also a response as well as a tribute to the Modern Art Scene “Conceptual Art” that since the sixties have questioned the relationship between art and reality.
Sam Jedig has from an early age developed his two main interests: sailing and art. Though his whole adulthood he has been an artist as well as a gallerist but also the sailing played an important part of his life. Now the art world and the sailing are reconciled and the result is the very untraditional dinghy, which functions as a 'living' piece of art. The boat was built by SOTA – Strandberg Marine made by Jesper Strandberg, and the particular project is carried out in close co-operation between the boat builder and the project manager
