Some more trad climbing today. This was officially my second real trad lead placing gear myself. I did onsight this route the week before on preplaced gear and thought it would be a good one to practice placing gear in the future. Since my buddy and I did it the week before, I was already familiar with the moves and the gear for the crux, which is getting through the big butt crack feature to start. After getting through the butt crack, the rest of the route is maybe 5.7 jug bashing on huge holds all the way to the top. This route is super fun and has really cool moves through the crux section. Wrestle through this then be rewarded with classic plates all the way up. If you're comfortable with the grade don't miss this one. It was much more rewarding to climb this placing gear myself than it was to "sport climb" it.
