Tippy takes Rusalka skipper on a tour of Oban
Rusalka had just arrived on Stewart Island two nights ago from New Zealand's subantarctic Auckland Islands group. Stewart Island is just south of New Zealand's South Island and Oban is its main settlement at 46° 54'S.
Rusalka tied up at the Oban wharf on Stewart Island to refuel. You have to call Ross Automotive first and they will send someone down to operate the fuel pumping. "Tippy" was there to do it. He said they fill gas cylinders as well. So he gave me a lift up to their workshop to fill our gas. On the way back Tippy gave me a tour of Oban.
