Town/State/County: New Athens, Illinois (St. Clair County)

Location: 853 South St.

Testing: 1st Tuesday of the month at 10 AM weather permitting

Cycle: (Regular Monthly Test: 3 minutes of Attack/Fast Wail) This was a special requested test with roughly 30 seconds of each signal.

Used for: Tornado Warnings/Storm Siren

IT"S MY 600TH VIDEO!

Since Independence Day fell on 1st Tuesday this year, we didn't really know where we were going to go. We tossed around a few ideas and then came up with a plan to message a friend who is the ESDA Director for New Athens, IL and see if he could do a special test of all signals on the city's Analong Whelen WPS-3000. He got back with us and agreed that he could do the special test for us. We got to town and met up with him and I planted an audio recorder on the North side of town at the cemetery about a 1/2 mile away. That audio will be coming next. This was so awesome!!! Quite an experience and a great way to celebrate my 600th video! I hope you enjoy watching as much as I enjoyed recording!
