📍 Muktinath Temple
Located at 3,800 meters above sea level, Muktinath Mandir is one of the holiest shrines for both Hindus and Buddhists. It is believed that visiting here washes away all sins and grants Moksha (liberation). The temple houses the eternal flame (Jwala Mai) and 108 sacred water sprouts (Muktidhara), which devotees bathe in, even in freezing temperatures. This pilgrimage site is one of the Shakti Peethas and is part of the famous Char Dham Yatra in Nepal.

📍 Dumba Taal (Dhumba Lake)
A hidden gem near Jomsom, Dumba Lake is a tranquil freshwater lake surrounded by snow-capped peaks and ancient monasteries. It's a peaceful spot for nature lovers and a short hike from Jomsom town.

🚗 How to Reach Muktinath & Jomsom:
You can travel from Pokhara to Jomsom by:

Flight (30 mins): Pokhara to Jomsom airport (be prepared for weather delays)

Jeep (8–10 hrs): Scenic road trip via Beni, Tatopani, and Marpha
From Jomsom, Muktinath Temple is about 1.5–2 hours away by local jeep or shared vehicle.

Jomsom offers budget guesthouses, mid-range hotels, and lodges with basic facilities.

Muktinath has pilgrim accommodations and teahouses close to the temple.
Pre-booking is recommended during peak season (Sept–Nov, Mar–May).
