ചെണ്ടയുടെ താളത്തിനൊപ്പം മനോഹരമായി നൃത്തം ചവിട്ടുന്ന ഗുളികൻ തെയ്യം. Gulikan theyyam is known for its funny pranks and plays with children, however, in this video Gulikan theyyam is dancing rhythmically to the beats of Chenda drums.

Gulikan theyyam is worshipped as a form of Lord Shiva. Theyyam is considered a divine and sacred folk dance performed in the Northern side of the Indian state of Kerala (Kannur and Kasargod regions). There are over 400 Theyyams and each of which enacts the legends of Hindu Gods as well as many renowned characters from the folk culture. This rare Indian ritualistic folk dance is performed by certain communities with a lot of devotion and dedication.

Theyyam dance is always performed along with the awe-inspiring beats of a traditional percussion drum called 'Chenda' in the Malayalam language. The Theyyams are conducted from November to June at Kavus (a different type of temple in Kerala) and also at certain traditional homes. It is one of the major cultural attractions of Kerala.

Theyyam has a lot of similarities with the Bhoota Kola (Buta Kola) ritual of the Tulu Nadu region of Karnataka (Mangalore and Dakshina Kannada).
