SimplexGrinnell's District 436 in the Inland Empire, California has some talented folks working there. We like sharing with you what we do, that is, keeping people and buildings safe. In this video we are replacing an old Simplex 2120 Multiplexing fire alarm system with a new Simplex 4100ES Networked Fire Alarm system. This is phase 3 of a 4 phase infrastructure upgrade. Simplex invests in Backward Compatible systems and hardware development. In this instance, it allows the owner to leverage their existing legacy investment while phasing in, over a period of time, a new system infrastructure. It is a virtually seamless transition. Right down to software conversions of the old custom control by event equations to the newest programming language. Even the back boxes and conduits are maintained while the new hardware is installed using retrofit kits.
