Decorate Cookies with Reusable Food-Safe Stencils | Ikonart Stencil Glaze

Reusable food-safe silkscreen stencils are finally here! You can make your Ikonart stencils safe for food contact applications by applying Ikonart Stencil Glaze to both sides of the imaged stencil. In this video I walk you through exactly how to do it.

Ikonart Stencil Glaze is made by dissolving a solid powder in 70% Isopropyl Rubbing Alcohol. The powder is a vegetable-based, non GMO, vegan, FDA-approved food additive which provides additional durability to Ikonart stencils. Once applied and dried the coating is insoluble in water, which makes cleanup and drying the stencils faster and easier.

NOTE: The rubbing alcohol evaporates as the glaze dries, but if you don't want to use rubbing alcohol you can use Everclear 190 Proof mixed with a little water to dissolve the powder instead.

Ikonart stencils are reusable, repositionable, customizable and easy-to-use. They will save you a ton of time vs. weeding vinyl stencils and you don't have to have any bridges like mylar stencils. The silkcreen mesh holds all the details in place, like the centers of letters or distressed artwork, so you can make food-safe stencils with a ton of fine details. Perfect for airbrushing or stenciling with royal icing.
