Based in Northern California, she is best known as the creator and lead performer of The Billie Holiday Project, a critically acclaimed tribute that interlaces the music and life story of Lady Day with historical insight and heartfelt interpretation. With a background in classical voice and theater, Stella brings both vocal excellence and dramatic nuance to the stage. Her warm tone, natural swing, and reverence for jazz history have made her a standout on the West Coast music scene. In addition to fronting The Billie Holiday Project, she also leads and performs in ensembles such as Bandjango, Stella Swings Ella, and Stella Meets Nat, showcasing her versatility across vintage jazz, gypsy swing, and classic American standards. Through her performances, Stella keeps the spirit of early jazz alive while infusing it with her own distinctive voice and passion.

Neil Angelo Fontano is a versatile pianist and musical director known for his vintage jazz sensibility and dynamic playing. Raised in a musically rich family, he began formal studies at age 12 with acclaimed pianist and composer Peter Vincent Marlotti, who introduced him to Gershwin and helped spark his passion for jazz. After attending the 2005 Sacramento Jazz Jubilee, Neil developed a deep love for stride piano and traditional jazz. He has since performed and recorded across Northern California and beyond with artists like Emily Day, Gunhild Carling, Nick Rossi, Mando Dorame, Maria Muldaur, and his own project, the Johnny Fontano Trio.
