Starting Consolidaton For My Sons Leukemia Chemo (Update On Chesters Frontline Treatment)

Hi everyone

Just wanted to give an update on my son Chester's Cancer journey and let you know what has been happening the last couple of weeks. He has now finished the induction for his chemotherapy for his Philidelphia Positive Leukemia (PH+ALL) and has now moved onto the consolidation phase of the COGAALL1631 protocol he is following.

This phase of chemo is called Interim Maintenance and involves taking daily imatinib and mercaptopurine (6-mp) and also vincristine, IT MTX, and high-dose methotrexate. It's been a lot going on, very stressful, and lots of chemo/meds. But Chester is doing really well in his battle with leukemia.
