I am back with another Monster High G3 custom reroot and today I am working on Skulltimate Secrets Series 4 Draculaura!
Drac is the last doll in this series that I am rerooting and for a while I was stumped on what I wanted to do with her hair.
Her original raspberry pink is cute but difficult to color match in Saran so I wasn’t sure what direction to take her.
After seeing the unique split dye that SS5 Draculaura was rocking, I wanted to explore the idea of a new split dye color way that would fit SS4 Drac!
I try my best to color match that deep raspberry pink shade by blending two shades of Saran from the doll planet. I use the colors Raspberry and Good Kharma for the darker shade of pink, and Little Bo Pink and Glamazon Bright for the lighter shade of pink.
I also paint some of Lala’s plastic accessories to bring out the fun details in those pieces. This series of Skulltimate Secrets really delivers on spectacular molded accessories, they are soooo so beautifully sculpted!
This series of Skulltimate Secrets was so fun to work on and customize and I can’t wait to tackle Garden Mysteries next :)
