A major focus will be the commencement of the Sampur Power Plant in Trincomalee. Additionally, India and Sri Lanka have agreed to build solar power plants at Sampur, with capacities of 50MW and 70MW. Originally planned as a coal plant, the project was revised to solar power, reflecting both countries' commitment to renewable energy.
