The POOREST and LEAST VISITED Country in EUROPE (CHISINAU City Tour)

Welcome to Moldova, the least visited country in Europe. Most people would not have heard of this country (including me) and so I'm so intrigued and excited to see what Moldova has to offer.

Because of being the least visited country in Europe, Moldova retains a measure of roads-less-travelled charm. It's certainly not on everyone's travel list but Moldova has been opening up to tourists with budget flights from Western Europe. If you're keen on finding out if Moldova is worth visiting, join me in this video.

Moldova is also the poorest country in Europe. Although Ukraine might have taken this spot now because of the ongoing invasion. I heard that most of the young people have left Moldova in search for a greener pasture abroad. I also heard that Moldova is making substantial progress on its IT sector trying to persuade the younger generation to stay.

Because of its location, it has been fought over by the likes of the Ottomans, Russians, Romanians, and more. In 1940, the Soviets invaded Moldova and then four months later a 7.3 magnitude earthquake decimated Chisinau. And if that wasn't enough, in 1941 the Germans attacked Chisinau, bombing an destroying what little was left. And so Moldova's capital, Chisinau, has a reputation of being the ugliest capital city in Europe.

It does sound like all the odds are against Moldova, but is it really that bleak of a country and is Chisinau really that ugly?
