28 Days Later Soundtrack - East Hastings (Longer Edit)

Originally East Hastings by Godspeed You Black Emporer. I found that the full version was WAY too long and the soundtrack edit was too short. So, of course, I made this. An edit that's JUST RIGHT.

This time around, I realized I could get away with a bit of a stretched out video rather than plastering a blur filter over the whole thing so that's why the video is the way it is. I don't even understand the YouTube ID system. If I upload just the music with no video, the thing gets "claimed," but not blocked... However, as SOON AS I leave in the matching movie clips, then it's just too much for the world to see. I doubt the movie itself is getting blocked since there are scenes on YT right now of Jim walking around abandoned London. Maybe it's the combination of the scene AND the music at a particular moment. It just triggers a glitch in the matrix. Regardless, it's a very poignant scene. And this song deserves way more attention! I mean, In The House In A Heartbeat is out there soaking up ALL the praise but this song really works magic in creating and maintaining an ominous and beautifully ambient moment. Good lord, it's easily my favorite scene in the movie. There's nothing quite like it.

P.s. Totally unrelated but this makes for great jogging music.
