Kedarnath is a town and Nagar Panchayat in Rudraprayag district of Uttarakhand, India, known primarily for the Kedarnath Temple. It is approximately 86 kilometres from Rudraprayag, the district headquarter. Kedarnath is the most remote of the four Chota Char Dham pilgrimage sites. It is located in the Himalayas, about 3,583 m (11,755 ft) above sea level near the Chorabari Glacier, which is the source of the Mandakini river. The town is flanked by snow-capped peaks, most prominently the Kedarnath Mountain. The nearest road head is at Gaurikund about 16 km away. The town suffered extensive destruction during June 2013 from the Flash Floods caused by torrential rains in Uttarakhand state. #viral #shorts #kedarnath #kedarnathtemple #kedarnathyatra #youtubeshorts #youtube #trending #trendingshorts #muzickeylife
Do's
1. Be prepared for harsh weather.
2. Take your overcoat, good quality rain coats if you are planning for month May.
3. Start yatra early as possible. Like 3:30 AM so that you can be the first in all the queues. Including the queue of verification of registration and car for Gaurikund.
4. Do not walk near to the khachhar's they can splash their shit on you.
5. Carry firm gripped slippers while walking. They can be relaxing on feet.
6. Carry a lighter just in case you need heat on the as it gets cooler as you reach the heights.
7. Target 7 or 7:30 pm to reach the base camp.
Don'ts
1. Do not take the weather lightly.
2. Do not eat heavy. Maximum toilets that are available are very untidy.
3. If in May, try not to book your stay on the top in advance as it is of no use most of the times. Instead you can book it on arrival.
