Tammi Terrell - 1. All I Do Is Think About You 2. Just Too Much to Hope For

16 March 2010 marks the 40th anniversary of the death of Tammi Terrell. Grammy Award nominated, she died at the tender age of 24. Her first recording contract was at the age of 16 and her first single to enter the US Charts was two years later in 1963. At the age of 20 she signed with Motown Records, released some more solo records with modest success and then began recording with Marvin Gaye in 1967. It was her recordings with Marvin Gaye that shot her to stardom. A short time later in that year however she was diagnosed with a brain tumour and ceased recording. Motown overdubbed Gayes voice on to some of her solo recordings to enable the release of duet albums.

All I Do is Think About You was written by Stevie Wonder in 1966 (at the age of 16) and recorded by Tammi in the same year, but incredibly, it remained locked away in the Motown vaults until 2002 when it was released with a number of other previously unreleased songs by Motown artists.
