A short composition from a festival where I received coaching from the Honorable Sir Peter Maxwell Davies. The third song in a short set from Book 4 of Vergil's Aeneid (lines 700-705) describes the descent of Iris and the final breaths of Dido, Queen of Carthage. I am grateful to Gia Greene for partnering with me in this endeavor. Performed 1/31/2010 at New England Conservatory.
