Earlier in the year I planted lupine seeds two ways. One way was to knick the seeds and plant them indoors. The other was to plant them in a covered container and leave it outside to experience the weather (winter sowing). The result was 4 plants that are now more than ready to be planted in the ground. I have picked a spot I think they will like and am going to get the lupines planted out today.

I garden in zone 3 Saskatchewan, Canada. This area has an average of 110 frost free days to grow in each year. Our temperatures range from -40C (-40F) to 40C (104F). We generally have snow cover for around 5 months of the year. I enjoy growing vegetables and ornamentals in ground, containers, and raised beds.
