For the first tutorial in this multi part u-boat school , we learn how to navigate the world map in 3 simple but different ways. Navigation tool , rudder/engine controls and compass.
Besides learning how we can move around , we also learn how to read the the compass ( be that vanilla or modded ) and we also learn to distinguish between the magnetic compass and the bearing circle.
Finally , we take a brief look into engine settings and how different speeds yield different range of operations.
While there are even more ways to navigate , such as dead reckoning for instance , this video chooses to emphasize the simpler methods. My job is not to overwhelm the player but to instead make him realize that a sub sim simpler than they think.
