Farage backs Luke Campbell to deliver political uppercut in Hull's Mayoral Election

Express Senior Correspondent Christian Calgie travelled to Hull in anticipation of the inaugural mayoral election on May 1st, a contest currently on a knife-edge, to speak with candidates from the four main parties and gain insights into their campaigns.

Reform UK Leader Nigel Farage has backed Luke Campbell, a former professional boxer, as his party's candidate. Campbell is set to face off against Margaret Pinder for Labour, Mike Ross for the Liberal Democrats, and Anne Handley for the Conservatives.

While in Hull, Christian spoke with voters to understand the issues that matter most to them, their preferred candidates, and their hopes for the future of their city and community.
