I have found that many new users don't understand the D-Star Callsign Menu. DR mode in new radios make it easy to set the radio up but sometimes you need to set up the radio manually. The Callsign Menu is central to proper D-Star operation. Hopefully this video help people understand how the menu works.
While this video shows the menu on a ID-5100, the functions of the UR, R1, R2, and MY Call are the same on all D-Star radios.
