Many people have the stereotyping assumption that when you have Autism, you must be somewhat gifted. Many people have asked me questions like have you discover what Adam’s gift is? Can he paint? Draw? He must be good in music. Can he play the piano? Is like smart? This is probably what Hollywood and Bollywood have portrayed what Autism to be. If you have Autism, you must be a like Mozart, Michael Angelo, Albert Einstein. The list goes on. People need to be re-educated that Autism is a really wide and complicated spectrum of one extreme to the other. Not everyone with Autism has savant attributes or high functioning. As a matter of fact majority are not. Nevertheless as parents and caregivers, we need to always positive. Constantly encourage and support the child come what may every way possible, always with progress as the main objective and belief system. Never give up. Never stop trying. Keep dreaming big.
