Echoes of Titanic 1998

The Titanic became synonymous with disaster. This documentary included Walter Lord, the author of "A Night to Remember" which faithfully tells the story of the Titanic's disaster. The book was turned into a successful Golden Globe winning film. The documentary included the world's reaction to the Titanic sinking off the coast of Newfoundland. The loss of over 1500 lives and the 700 lives saved. The survivors like Edith Haisman and Eva Hart shared their stories about life and death.

The Titanic was a British passenger liner that sank in the North Atlantic Ocean on April 15, 1912, after colliding with an iceberg during her maiden voyage from Southampton, England to New Your City. There were 1,514 people that drowned in one of the deadliest peacetime maritime disasters in history. "The Unsinkable Titanic" sunk and today the story lives on in fans of those who love this great ship and it's history.
