With the soundtrack "Baby Elephant Walk" by Henry Mancini, this piece was actually inspired by some flowers I spotted by the fence while waiting for my kids at school this afternoon. They were a deep purple/magenta colour with dark foliage. So I added some very dark purple to my gorgeous magenta to create a beautiful deep purple plum colour and added titanium white, lamp black, and then by veridian for some deep green leaves.
Using three cups in order to create a more varied look, I poured the cups as follows: the central cup used mainly the magenta/purple mix and white but also a very small amount of both the vermilion and black. The two outside cups, were layered appropriately the same as each other and concentrated more on the black and the veridian but still added a small amount of white and vermilion .
