In this video Mr Prateek Agrawal, MD & CEO at Motilal Oswal AMC gives his insights on how to get the right exposure to mid caps in one's portfolio. SIPs are a very good way of investing in mid cap and small cap mutual funds. This is because these funds are more volatile than large cap mutual funds and SIPs are good for volatile investments. One must continue investing in SIPs in mid cap mutual funds especially when stock markets crash. One must maintain the right asset allocation in their mutual fund portfolio. This is the right mix across different asset classes. For example, if stock markets have crashed then you have the opportunity to increase allocation towards equity mutual funds. Also maintain a longer time horizon with equity mutual funds to reach your financial goals.
