Taste TUNISIA - hotel breakfasts in TUNIS - were they any good/ how bad could they be?!?!

We stayed at Hotel Tiba and Dar Zyne la Medina when in Tunis. This video captures the breakfasts we had.
Hotel Tiba had a buffet breakfast with some hot and cold food, pickles, dips, bread, etc. The selection varied slightly from day to day but the food, like brik, rice salad, and fried eggs, etc were often bland & tasteless. Also, there was cereal, but no milk!
We did like the halwa shamia, harissa, which was so easily accessible, and also the crepe, when it appeared (though it seems we forgot to film this - whoops!) We also had our first taste of makroudh (date pastry) which was interesting! Breakfast wasn't special, but when compared to Dar Zyne, it was a feast!!
Dar Zyne was a place which valued style over substance and the only morning we had breakfast was on the first day of Ramadan, so there was no bread (though we were given jam and butter) and we were given tea and coffee without any cups, so we had to request this. Not the best place we stayed at, and based on previous reviews on TripAdvisor, it seems a poor breakfast is common (regardless of whether it's Ramadan). Don't expect to be well-fed here!
