Most people make excuses for not reading the Bible, but that should not be done.
"I don't understand."
Then Philip ran up to the chariot and heard the man reading Isaiah the prophet. “Do you understand what you are reading?” Philip asked. “How can I,” he said, “unless someone explains it to me?” So he invited Philip to come up and sit with him. (Acts 8:30-31)
You can learn how much God values reading the Bible by looking at this incident. Philip was evangelizing, healing, and performing miracles. But the Holy Spirit took him out from that city and brought him to meet this man. Leaving a city, a huge crowd, healing, and miracles for one man! Can you imagine that!
Give value to your Bible because it didn't just come to you; so many saints and prophets had to suffer and give their lives for it. And if you feel that you are in bondage or not fully delivered, remember that only the truth can set you free. Many people will say you need theology and so on. But remember, the one who inspired scriptures is in you, and he can teach and remind you. So don't be discouraged. If your motive is good, it's your heavenly Father who gives you understanding and teachers.
