A specialist in quantum information and photonic systems, James completed his PhD in Toshiba’s Quantum Information Group at the University of Cambridge. His work spans quantum photon sources, photonic systems development, and financial modelling. He holds master’s degrees from Cambridge and Oxford.

🧠 Richard Murray — CEO & Co-Founder, ORCA Computing

A quantum atom-optics PhD with more than 15 years leading deep-tech innovation, Richard has shaped the UK’s £270m quantum technologies programme and contributed to the EU’s €1bn Quantum Flagship initiative. He has grown ORCA Computing into a globally recognised leader in photonic quantum computing, expanding operations into the US in 2024.

🧠 Luca Sapienza — Associate Professor in Quantum Engineering, University of Cambridge

Luca leads the Integrated Quantum Photonics Research Group at Cambridge’s Nanoscience Centre. His team explores on-chip quantum optics, nano-photonic devices, and quantum effects in biological systems. He is also Dean, Director of Studies, and Fellow at Christ’s College.

🧠 Annika Möslein — Head of Engineering, Quantum Dice

Dr Annika Möslein leads engineering at Quantum Dice, an Oxford spinout developing verifiable quantum random number generation for cybersecurity and computing. With a PhD in Engineering Science from Oxford, she brings expertise in optoelectronics, sensors, and system design — along with a background as a professional sailor and VR innovator.
