My Botswana is a celebration of Botswana and her milestone achievements in the last 50 years under self rule since 1966.Unlike the previous single Pula which was tailor made for the youth in line with celebrations of the country`s 50 years of independence, this single is inclusive because its for the young and old. Its a fusion of Afro Jazz and traditional praise poetry and it introduces one of the finest BW talents to come out this year in the form of a young and gifted songstress by the name Kamogelo Phutsisi (Lizzy) . The song speaks of our Tswana pride, our people, our cultural diversity, our diamonds, our national heroes etc .It also presents Steez in a different light this time around as a traditional praise poet and it was produced by Thabang Percy Saakane (Percy P-Jay) . This track just like Pula, was endorsed by BOT 50 (A task force mandated with overseeing and coordinating the country`s 50 years of independence celebrations). The video was shot in the beautiful village of Manyana and in Gaborone by Kgale Hill. The video also features a cameo by a local traditional dance group Flower Girls. One cant miss the tourism themed clips of popular annual events like Kalahari Toyota 1000 desert race,Makgadikgadi Epic,Race for Rhinos and Khawa Dune Challenge without forgetting the wildlife (the big five) and our renowned tourism destinations like the Okavango Delta.
