U.S. revokes visas for South Sudanese over repatriation disputes

The United States has announced that it is revoking all visas for South Sudanese passport holders, U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio made the announcement on Saturday, adding that any new arrivals from South Sudan will be blocked. The revocation is due to the South Sudanese government’s failure to accept the return of repatriated citizens. South Sudanese nationals had been granted "temporary protected status" under the Biden administration, but this designation is set to expire in May.
