In 2024, a closing Rooster Teeth Productions released the 19th and final season of their flagship series—Red vs. Blue. The feature, entitled “Restoration”, would be run by returning series creators Bernie Burns (writer) and Matt Hullum (director).

The final release was, at risk of sounding unfair, underwhelming; with Rooster Teeth’s impending closing and a 21-year legacy to close the show out on, “Restoration” struggled to meet expectations—in part those of fans, but also, those of the story that the show itself spent decades establishing.

“Re-Restoration” is a fan project that attempts to smooth over RvB’s final story; the general script is still overall similar to “Restoration”, but with added/removed scenes, re-shot entirely in the HALO engines—utilizing the first four games in the series and canonically taking place sometime after the show’s 13th season (a soft retcon to all that came after--though, not entirely ignoring it either...)

We follow the Reds and Blues as they come face-to-face with an old enemy—and must finally pay the price of one man’s decades-long quest to forget.

New episodes of “Red vs. Blue: Re-Restoration” will be released as they’re completed! This has the potential to be a long-spanning project—so I hope you’re all prepared to wait…
