EPSON Workforce How to stop printer leaking or bleeding black ink onto the paper when printing

Here's an easy fix if you have an EPSON WorkForce WF-7830 printer (applies to other models as well) and it's leaking black ink onto your paper when printing, I have had this issue a few times when doing a lot of printing and the fix is quite simple - see below.
The foam ink pad that the printhead wipes itself onto when printing seems to get saturated causing this issue, go into the menu and change cartridge then slide the print head cartridge holder to the left carefully and with a dry microfibre cloth simply dab the waste sponge a few times until any excess ink has been removed.
Once you have done that print some test sheets to verify the problem has gone away, you may need to repeat it 1-2 times more as sometimes the printhead itself has excess black ink on it due to the sponge issue. I have also read that it can be caused because of dirty copper contacts that the individual cartridge connects to, if you're printer is a few years old it's worth checking this too and they can be cleaned with some isopropanol or contact cleaner but because my printer is new it's not the case here.
