"God sends rain on the just and on the unjust." - Matthew 5:45
--Our response to the RAIN (suffering) in our lives is MORE important than TRYING to AVOID the RAIN. James gives us a few responses to trials and testing our faith. ---James 1:2-12 ---Consider it PURE JOY-- what??!! WHY??? “Why is this happening to me?” “What did I do to deserve this?” I believe there is a side to suffering we miss when we focus solely on our pain rather than on God’s greater purpose. If you can see the purpose behind the pain, you can find the way out of this lie. If you can see the purpose beyond the pain, you will understand God’s ability to leverage the suffering in your life for greater things. ---Seeing life's trials as a blessing starts with having the right perspective. God's perspective. That perspective is this: God allows trials in your life to help you grow up...to mature you in Him. In other words, you will never grow in your walk with Christ without trials. God uses them to be your teacher and to make you into the person He wants you to be.
---If your suffering won’t go away, it might as well go to work. Hard times have the capacity to deepen your faith and the faith of those around you. And when you submit your situation to God, he can purify your motives and teach you wonderful things that you can only learn when suffering humbles you and forces you to pay attention to the deep work the Holy Spirit is doing inside of you.
--Growth often means pain. And growth without pain is an oxymoron. Suffering is often how God shows us himself. Suffering is part of the call to serve Jesus—take up your cross daily and follow me… ---Matthew 7:24-27 - "Therefore everyone who hears these words of Mine and acts on them, may be compared to a wise man who built his house on the rock. "And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and slammed against that house; and yet it did not fall, for it had been founded on the rock. "Everyone who hears these words of Mine and does not act on them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand. The rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and slammed against that house; and it fell--and great was its fall." ---REMEMBER GOD IS WITH YOU in the RAIN----REMEMBER GOD can USE the RAIN for your GOOD ---LIFE will preach to you—and if you don’t listen—it will preach even louder and harder—there’s a lesson in the RAIN—there’s LESSONS from the PAIN that we experience---don’t keep repeating the same mistakes again and again…WE HAVE TO LEARN HOW TO SING in the rain---dance in the rain-- learn to make the most of the rain--- embrace the MUD. --John 16:33----In me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world. ---YOU ARE an OVERCOMER. ----Hebrews 6:7-8 how to embrace what God is doing in you and through you how do you responds to the rain? When a hard rain comes and the wind blows in the cold outside it’s not fun, it ruins your plans, it cancels things, it slows you down in traffic.
--1 Peter 1:6-8 -fiery trials help produce genuine faith… ---GOD IS GOING TO USE EVERYTHING you go through FOR YOUR FUTURE--- HE is going to take some of the pain and struggles and tears you walk through for your future--- GOD has ORDERED YOUR STEPS--- that means HE orders your steps EVEN IN THE RAIN--- there’s a REASON FOR IT- God is GOING TO USE IT----- NOTHING you go through will be WASTED… --The only difference between a piece of black coal and a priceless diamond---is the amount of PRESSURE it’s ENDURED…--Romans 8:28-----all things for good. ---NO PAIN NO GAIN-- NO RAIN NO GRAIN-----STOP asking WHY it happened---and start ASKING GOD to USE IT FOR HIS GLORY in and through your life--- DON’T just GO THROUGH IT---GROW THROUGH IT--- say it out loud--- I WILL GROW THROUGH IT--- I AM GROWING…
