Leadership in Diversity | Swami Brahmavihari Das at BAPS Visionaries Breakfast, Johannesburg
On Tuesday, September 3 2019, in the company of 100 guests from the government, nongovernmental organisations and the business fraternity Bochasanwasi Aksharpurushottam Swaminarayan Sanstha (BAPS) hosted a first of its kind Visionaries Breakfast. Titled Leadership in Diversity this event took place at the Houghton Golf Course Johannesburg, the economic hub of the continent.
The keynote address by the prolific orator, Sadhu Brahmaviharidas of BAPS, pushed the boundaries of business strategy by asking leaders to act with compassion, synergy and spiritual awareness. He highlighted the effect of believing in possibilities that stretch beyond the individual and the need to harness the community. He emphasised that should one care for one’s community; unity of thought and action will be incidental.
Sadhu Brahmaviharidas also touched on the Haveli and Cultural Complex project that has been undertaken by BAPS in North Riding, Johannesburg. This project, including the construction of the temple and other community facilities, aroused much curiosity and interest.
