Come get to know our family.
Having ancestral nomadic roots, prior to YouTube, we would travel 3 seasons out of the year and come to our village home for winter. This is how we sustained our lives by raising goats and sheep, honey harvesting from the mountain, and I was a truck driver. Sometimes, my job would take me away for months at a time, leaving my wife and then 3 children alone. If one of them got sick, I'd depend on a neighbor or one of my brothers if they weren't away working, to take my family member to the city to see a doctor. Our village Chilteh only has a medical center, and it lacks medicine and a regular doctor.
Once YouTube came into our lives, we decided to try to supplement our lives with it. Initially, we received some loyal viewers, but as more and more channels opened, our viewers were less frequent. We made the decision to stop making videos, and the opportunity for me to work as a translator became my only option for work without leaving my family for long periods. We now have 4 children and our youngest, suffers from asthma, she requires frequent medical visits so I work translating to be close by.
