The first time harvesting honey as a new beekeeper has been a moment I have been anxiously waiting for. This is my third season and it was well worth the wait with a harvest of 120 lbs of honey (10 gallons). The majority of the honey can from one hive that was installed as a package back in March 2022 onto drawn comb. Adding beekeeping to our urban homestead has been a pleasure but not to be taken lightly due to the costs and steep learning curve.
