A Relaxing Camp with My Dog on the Edge of a Beautiful New Zealand Beach

My dog Indi and I are on a road trip travelling along the east coast of the south island of New Zealand. The highway is going to be closed overnight for maintenance work so we decide to go on an impromptu camping trip and stay the night in the Kekerengu Camping Ground. Join us as we explore the beaches of Kaikoura and Kekerengu, enjoying the views of the Pacific Ocean, and the thundering of the waves. We managed to find a secluded camping spot to ourselves where we had uninterrupted views of the ocean from our tent. I made up a bed for us in the car but enjoyed the shelter of the DoD Base Shelter Tent to keep us out of the wind and the light morning rain. After packing up I take you on a journey to the top of the south island, beyond Picton, and around to the Queen Charlotte Sound of the Marlborough Sounds.
This camp is a bit of a change from my trips in to the mountains. I hope you will enjoy it.
