This video explains how to create a Text Box as of PTC Mathcad Prime 10. Text Boxes are highly versatile controls, and of all of the controls, have the most customisation in appearance. This makes Text Boxes perfect for conditionally formatting the display of your results; for example, by changing the Text Box's background to red for a design check fail or green for a design check pass.
Download the example worksheet used in this video; the conditional formatting script that you can adapt to your own projects is included: https://www.mathcad.com/en/blogs/adva...
This worksheet example uses a scripted Text Box to check a numeric value and display a "Pass" or "Fail" result in the Text Box depending on whether the value exceeds a certain threshold or not. The Text Box will also be formatted differently depending on whether the result is "Pass" or "Fail".
This example is based off the Advanced Controls Crash Course, which goes over all six Advanced Controls with a primer on the whole controls concept. You can watch that training event for free whenever you want, and download all of the worksheets used, here: http://ptc.co/SMv550T53SO
Advanced Controls are a premium feature of PTC Mathcad Prime, introduced in Mathcad Prime 10. You can download a 30-day trial of the latest version with full access to Advanced Controls at https://www.mathcad.com/trial
