Hosting a major event comes with the opportunity to leave a legacy that always addresses the anticipated needs of a city and its citizen.
Once the Games were won by London, and this site selected, this was the chance to redevelop the whole area for the future.
Ten years later, it’s a highly accessible, connected and vibrant park and pubic realm, much loved by locals - and the legacy is still developing.
