Back in Madeira 🇵🇹 I Found The Best Poncha in Madeira

I am back in Madeira for the last time. In 5 weeks time I am leaving Madeira, and moving to Bangkok, Thailand. This video is a personal look at my first day back in Funchal as I start the countdown to my big move. I visit Singular Óptica to pick up my first pair of prescription glasses. If you are looking for high quality eyewear in Madeira, this boutique near Plaza Madeira is excellent. For lunch, I head to Theo’s by Chef Júlio. I try their lunch menu, which is one of the best value meals in Funchal. I eat a traditional Portuguese dish called Carne de Porco à Alentejana (pork belly with clams) and their famous sourdough bread with olive powder butter. Finally, I visit Lido’s Tavern in the Lido area. I show you how traditional Poncha is made, this guy reveals his secret poncha recipe. This might be the best poncha in Madeira. I also try their Prego steak sandwich on Bolo do Caco.
