We set up a five-man lineup on a big roost and ran a 40-dozen decoy spread with ghillie blankets, creating the perfect hide. The mallards worked hard all morning, and giant flocks were dumping straight into the spread. It was one of those unforgettable field hunts—steady action, tight finishes, and a solid pile to wrap up the day.
