Often times as artists, we don't finish our paintings. Years go by and then we decide to toss it, finish it or remake it. In the case of an encaustic painting, this can be challenging because the wax medium has stabilized (become hard), and we feel we have few choices. In this example, I show you how to completely transform an old painting by slowing applying gentle heat to pull back some of the wax.
