The murder of 19-year-old French student Céline Figard in December 1995 remains one of the UK’s most harrowing cases of predatory violence. After accepting a lift from lorry driver Stuart William Morgan at Chieveley Services on the M4, Céline disappeared, sparking a massive nationwide search during the Christmas season. Investigators eventually uncovered a chilling reality: after killing her, Morgan had kept her body hidden in the sleeper cab of his white Mercedes truck for ten days, continuing his delivery routes and even parking the vehicle outside his family home over the holiday. Her body was finally discovered on December 29 in a remote lay-by on the A449 in Worcestershire.
