We celebrated our Warkukul (Traditional Engagement) Ceremony at Mulgrave Gardens, Little Mulgrave - just outside of Cairns - Far North Queensland (Australia).

Our family who came together for this occasion had travelled from Papua New Guinea, New Zealand and across parts of Australia and around Queensland to help make this day a successful initiation (in Mat's case) and Bride Price (Mat and Gen's engagement) ceremonies.

Thank you to all our families for pouring your love, strength, and hard work into our Warkukul. It was a beautiful and successful day, and we truly couldn’t have done it without every single one of you.

A biggest shoutout to our parents for standing beside us from start to finish, and to our friends and family who did the hard yards to make everything come together so perfectly. The day was filled with nothing but love, unity, and gratitude.

We couldn’t have imagined it any better. Thank you for being present with us, supporting us, and allowing us to come together as one.
