Optical coherence tomography OCT has become a standard imaging study for patients with optic neuropathies and related afferent visual pathway disorders. This lecture provides a detailed overview of OCT findings in the setting of papilledema vs. pseudopapilledema. In addition, the utilization of OCT as a surrogate biomarker of neurologic disease is reviewed as related to multiple sclerosis, Alzheimers disease, Parkinsons disease and traumatic brain injury.
