As one of its longest running and most revered nameplates, any all-new E-Class is a big deal for Mercedes-Benz. And the recently launched W214 generation firmly targets buyers after a traditional premium luxury sedan.

Still, the staple E300 variant eschews classic six-cylinder convention for a turbocharged four-pot heartbeat, brings AMG accouterment arguably at odds with purist luxury motoring, and scales back on the level of personalization that was once the touchstone of Mercedes-Benz and its E-Class model.
